Dental Crowns
To restore the natural aesthetics and function of a tooth when it is severely worn down and needs a little bit more than a filling.
Traditional Crowns:
At Cherrytree Dental Care in Wantage, we can restore a heavily broken down tooth with a crown or you may know it as a cap. Crowns are generally tooth coloured, either ceramic or a ceramic and precious metal mix. We can also make crowns in the same day with our Cerec system for people who don’t want to wait for their crowns.
Generally we prepare a tooth for a crown and then take impressions or moulds of the tooth which then go to our dental technicians who then construct a crown. The crown will then be returned to the practice and we will then fix it in place at a further appointment for you.
We will spend time discussing the types of crowns available and which may be most suitable for you.
