Bridges
The treatment process to fit a bridge is relatively straightforward. After preparation of the teeth either side of the gap, a mould of the teeth is created and sent to the laboratory for the bridge to be custom-made. It is then fixed into position using strong dental adhesive. Bridges can be made from a selection of materials like porcelain, Ceramics, acrylic and metal. Often Maryland bridges involve no drilling at all!
Dental Veneers
Our dental veneers treatments are thin coverings that are bonded to the front surfaces of front teeth. They are usually made of porcelain, but can also be made of composite. They are very conservative of natural tooth structure. Dental Veneers are indicated in cosmetic cases to correct teeth of poor shape or colour, or where there is mild crookedness or gaps between teeth. Porcelain beautifully mimics natural tooth enamel and is highly stain resistant, but such veneers need replacing should they fracture. Composite looks good, but not as superior as porcelain and is less stain resistant. However, composite veneers usually can be repaired if they chip. Porcelain veneers generally last longer than composite veneers.
Teeth Whitening
Tooth whitening is a process by which the discolourations on and within the tooth structure are lightened. The process works as the active ingredient breaks down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentine and the stains are dissolved and discolouration reduced. We guarantee your teeth will be whiter with our more advanced whitening technique or your money back! Tooth discolouration may be surface staining caused by such things as highly coloured or dark foods, drinks or smoking. Some discolouration may occur within the tooth itself e.g. antibiotics at a child, trauma and more commonly ageing.
