About the Business

Upper Berkeley Dental Practice is a well-established practice in the heart of Portman Village. The practice has been at its current location since 2010 and was previously located in Knightsbridge, where the practice operated for more than 20 years.

We know that finding a dentist in London who is caring and dedicated to your treatment will be your top priority, which is why we are proud that in many cases we have three generations of the same families coming back for dentist Jo Gallop’s gentle, caring treatment.

At Upper Berkeley Dental Practice we treat adults and children and focus on the best long-term plan for your teeth. We care about function as well as aesthetics and always take the time our patients need to feel comfortable and happy with their treatment.

We understand that in some cases people can be nervous about visiting the dentist, which is why we are proud of our caring team, who will always make sure that you are entirely comfortable and happy with your treatment plan.

Because of our location close to Harley Street, we can work closely with other specialists when necessary. We also have a team of in-house hygienists, including one who works on Saturdays – perfect if it’s difficult for you to make an appointment during the week.

Upper Berkeley Dental Practice offers a full range of family and cosmetic dentistry, with treatments including veneers, whitening and implants. The practice accepts all major credit cards or cash, but cannot accept cheques.

Crowns

Crowns

A crown is a type of dental restoration used to fix teeth that have been broken, weakened by decay or have a very large filling. The crown fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth. It will also be tooth coloured, giving the restoration a more natural appearance so it fits in with the rest of your teeth.

A crown could be a good solution for you if you have some discoloured fillings and would like to improve their appearance. Crowns can be used to replace these to give you a more aesthetic smile. Also, if you have had root canal treatment you will need a crown to protect or cap the restored tooth, allowing you to eat and bite down on it as if it was a real tooth. Crowns are also used to anchor a bridge or denture firmly in place in the mouth.
